Custom tumblers are one of the most requested promotional products we quote, and the first question is almost always the same: how much will they cost? The honest answer is that the price per piece depends on a handful of choices. Once you know what they are, you can steer the quote to fit your budget.
1. The tumbler itself
A double-wall plastic tumbler for a 5K race and a vacuum-insulated stainless tumbler from a brand like YETI or Stanley are very different products, and they're priced differently. Size (16 oz, 20 oz, 30 oz, 40 oz), lid type and whether you want a handle or straw all move the price. Browse our custom tumblers to compare options side by side.
2. Quantity
Promotional products are priced in quantity breaks. The per-piece price drops as the order grows because setup work is spread across more units. If you're close to a break, it's often worth asking what the next tier would cost.
3. Decoration method
- Laser engraving: permanent and premium-looking on stainless steel. Usually one color (the steel itself).
- Screen or pad printing: cost-effective for one or two spot colors.
- Full-color printing: best for gradients, photos and multi-color logos.
Each method has its own setup and run charges, and the number of imprint locations (one side vs. wrap-around) matters too.
4. Timeline
Standard production is usually the best value. Rush service is available on many items, but it can limit your choices. The earlier you share your in-hands date, the more options you have.
5. Packaging and shipping
Gift boxes, individual polybags, and shipping to one address vs. many recipients all affect the final number.
